Team Koa at the 2006 Hawai'i Lacrosse Invitational William Nagy In Memoriam of Tim Wolf 1984-2007 |
The Hawaii Men's Lacrosse team has been playing the Great Game in Hawaii since 1989. We meet for 10:00am game starts on Sundays at
Kapiolani Park. Three seasons make up each lacrosse year: Spring, Summer and Fall. Winter is the off-season so games are only played on the first Sunday of each month.
The biggest season is Fall, as this season always culminates with the Hawaii Lacrosse Invitational in late October/early November. The tournament exemplifies what lacrosse tournaments are all about: top-notch competition and fantastic camaraderie.
The Spring lax season starts up the weekend after the NFL Pro Bowl, and generally continues until early April. At this time, the team looks for tournaments around the world to play in and plays an inner-team scrimmage on the North Shore. The scrimmages are generally followed by No-Holds-Barred BBQ's or a trip to Duke's or the Elks Club.
The Summer season usually ends with a big game. In 1998, our team played the U-19 USA World Team who stopped in after winning the world championship in Australia. In 1999, we scrimmaged Rutgers University who was also returning from a trip to Australia.
During each season, practices are held on Sundays in Kapi'olani Park on Oahu.
All players are encouraged to stop by any upcoming practice to see how excellent it is to lax it up in the islands. Rookie players are welcome.
Mahalo to our 2010 Hawaii Tournament Sponsors!
