The Awards
Keawe Pahoa (Keawe Wood Dagger). Traditional HI dagger. Presented to the MVP's of the tourney in recognition of their outstanding performances in the heat of battle throughout the tournament.	Lei o Manu (Shark Tooth Club). Traditional Hawaiian Fighting Club. Presented to the Men's Elite Championship team in recognition of their outstanding performance in the heat of battle.
Hawaiian Stone (lava rock) bowl & pestle. Traditional tools for grinding medicines. Presented to the Don Gladstone recipient. Symbolizes the great medicine that the DG recipient has given to lacrosse for many years.	Hawaiian Water Gourd. Water has a great spiritual significance in Hawaiian customs. The Hawaiian word for water, Wai, is the same word for Life (in other words, Wai means water & it also means life). This year the Japan Lacrosse Association brought life to the Hawaii Youth Lacrosse programs by making a $5,000.00 donation to HI Youth Lax. The HI Lax Club is honored to recognize JLA's contributions with this Hawaiian Water Gourd.
Pahoa Au (Marlin Dagger). Traditional Marlin Dagger - dagger carved from the bill of a Marlin. Presented to the Women's & Master's championship teams - again in recognition of their outstanding performances in the heat of battle.
