Japan East A/B

Japan East comes to Hawai'i to defend the championship it earned with a thrilling one goal victory in the Year 2000 Hawai'i Lacrosse Invitational. Japan East is well aware that the competition will be much stiffer in this, the second year of the women's division. However, the team is prepared and is anxious to greet the big guns from America with heaps of youthful energy and the great determination that comes naturally when representing one's country. Japan East is also ready to once again add to lots of cheer to the event with its deep repertoire of lively team chants.

The Tsunami, a women's team from Victoria, BC (Canada's West Coast Paradise), is very excited to be heading to Hawaii's tropical paradise to play some great lacrosse. The team is split pretty much 50/50 between experience players and beginners, and looks to 5 players from Maryland for leadership on the field.

While the Tsunami Club, originated in Victoria in 1991, has never been a large club in terms of numbers, the Tusnami has always been Big on Fun. In the past, our members have participated on Canadian National teams, but by far, our biggest venture as a team is our participating in this year's Hawai'i Lacrosse Invitational Tournament. We arrive on Halloween, the perfect night to get warmed up what promises to be a very festive week.

Hero's

Formed in 1998, the Hero's Women's Lacrosse Team boasts a terrific blend of veteran leadership and young talent. A founding member of the highly competitive Women's Mid-Atlantic Club Lacrosse League, Hero's finished this season with an 11-3 record and secured a hard-won third place finish at the Prague Cup 2001! The Hero's women have team spirit second to none and can't wait to join their lacrosse friends from around the world for sun, fun and an occassional game of lacrosse on beautiful Oahu!

Hawai'i Lacrosse

Hawaii Lacrosse is proud to have its women's team back again this year to compete in the Hawaii Lacrosse Invitational. The Wahine (Women's) team is only a year old, and while just a fledgling in comparison to many club teams worldwide, the team is optimistic about its expected performance and hopes to soar to great heights of success!

Half the team consists of beginners while the remainder are veterans to the sport. This combination has allowed the Wahine to achieve a great balance among players; the eagerness of the newcomers works well to offset the grace and sophistication of seasoned players.

Looking forward to some fierce competition, the Hawaii Women's Lacrosse Team welcomes the opportunity to host this great event and share it's Aloha with all those in attendance.
